I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
